The Niagara Fruit Institute, a registered charity, is located in the heart of Winona, Ontario, just minutes from downtown Hamilton and a short distance from Niagara Falls. The Institute’s objectives are to:
promote understanding and interest in the culture and history of fruit farming in Niagara; learn about the Niagara Escarpment, a World Biosphere Reserve; understand the benefits of eating fruit as part of a healthy diet; increase understanding of fruit growing and its interaction with the environment.
These objectives will be offered through public displays, special events, tours of a farm and the Niagara Escarpment. From QEW, exit at Fruitland Rd. South to Barton St. Turn left, proceed 2.5 km, entrance on the right.
